- Boys Scouts
- He earned his Eagle Scout Award at age 16 (and is still an active participant.)
- Has been in the scouting program since 1st grade (starting as a ``tiger cub")
- Leadership: When Travis was 15, a newer scout member was asked in school to write a paper on someone (usually a pro sports player, politician, etc.) whom he finds
inspirational. The new scout chose to write his paper on Travis.
- With his high school (TKA) Travis has traveled to Mexico each year for a week to help build houses for those without. These houses are built on cement slab base, with multiple rooms, etc.
- While in middle school (Milpitas Christian), Travis performed on a number of community activities including
helping feed the homeless, helping support staff at Agnews Hospital (for severely handicapped patients), and other similar activities.
