Wrestling

Travis has enjoyed wrestling since his freshman year at TKA. That year, he wrestled for the CCS championships even though he had a cracked elbow (which completely broke over the summer while water skiing.)

Some of his accomplishments:

Has been a varsity wrestler each year at TKA (including as a freshman when he was awarded a Varsity letter.) His coach that year had a brief (and humorous) story about his first match, which can be found on YouTube (see http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=oJ6mJBd-AL Q.)
As a sophomore (2006-2007):

Placed 6th in the 189 lb weight class at the CCS championship.

Following the CCS meet in his sophomore year, he entered USA Wrestling's California State Frosh/Soph competition. He won in 5 bouts, only one of which lasted into the second round.

Travis chose not to wrestle in the 2008-2009 season. Instead he focused on weight lifting and running with the track team.
